About Henri's Bakery & Deli

"My sisters and I are dedicated to continuing the traditions that have made Henri's a beloved Atlanta institution for the past 89 years while introducing it to a new generation. While we oversee the future of Henri's, the past is what we're most grateful for. It isn't just our great-grandfather's longtime recipes that we carry on; it is his generous spirit and his commitment to the community that inspires our vision for Henri's."

Brookhaven is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brookhaven follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I live pretty close by and always drive pass this place and have read a lot of good reviews about this place. Had couple of breakfast sandwiches. Bacon egg and cheese in a crossaint and a chicken sausage egg and cheese in a croissant and both the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I want to go back and try few of their other menus.

My family has visited the Brookhaven location almost daily since it opened. Culture of service and connectivity with customers was very personal at the outset with employees welcoming customers and knowing names of them quickly. A friendly welcoming culture coupled with great food and service was unique. In the last 6-9 months there has been lots of rotating in new employees, many excellent but loss of individuals like Sharon quickly noticeable. She was always very friendly with greeting and great with service. Jonathan has been there for the long haul…he is outstanding in every respect….clearly 5 Star!!! He quickly and professionally makes sandwiches and always shares a smile and welcome greeting! Hopefully with change and lots of new, his leadership can be cloned and all share the same attitude, professionalism and excellent production skills for top drive out business he does. He is 5 star in all categories of measurement!!!

I start most mornings during the week with a stop at Henri’s. Great, friendly, and attentive staff. I usually start out with Jon at the sandwich counter who knows what I like to order (he also makes a great sandwich, too) and then visit Sharon for checkout. Repeatedly a great and friendly experience that I’ve been spoiled by these past several years.

Very cute place. I noticed the sign. It’s been here almost 100 years. I’ve been dying for a bakery that has cannolis and Napoleon’s, baklava, and anything else that you can imagine which is delectable. The cannoli cream was a bit too firm. The shell was very soft. They didn’t have that crispy and flaky feel to it. Baklava also had no crunch to it. It was tasty though. I was disappointing because I read really good reviews about this place and I’m sure other items might be better but it’s just not what I expected out of a cannoli or baklava. Especially at five dollars apiece. I’ve had them at Publix and even though they’re not great they’re still better than this for half the price. And I know that’s religious to even compare Publix to a niche type of place like this. I’m from McDonough so it was a pretty long trip to come up there and try it. Last point. If you’re going to have six people behind the counter, I think you should be a little bit more attentive to somebody standing there in front of the pastry display and the welcome them. When you’re standing there looking to place your order and 4 people all have their backs to you and 2 are standing at the register looking a
